Kozhikode Main railway station, code CLT, is on Railway Station Road at Palayam. Trains still announce it as Calicut. The pickup is the station, not the beach and not the bus stand a short walk away, unless you say so.

Send the train number and the scheduled time. If it is late, send the new time from the enquiry you trust. We will not pretend to have the railway’s board in the office. Name the person if there are several people and a lot of luggage, and say which exit you will use if you already know it.
Autos are easy for a suitcase and a short city hop in the daytime. A cab is the better ask for elders, a night arrival, or a direct run to a campus.
Where people go from Palayam
Government Medical College is east on Mavoor Road, about 8 km from the city centre, so this is a city fare. IIM Kozhikode’s contact page says about 16 km from the station. NIT says about 22 km to Chathamangalam. Calicut University at Thenhipalam is south, about 24 km from the city on the university’s page, so the station ride is that direction plus the city. KMCT’s prospectus says about 26 km to the nearest station. Malabar Medical College is north, about 22 km from the city. Tell us which, and the fare matches that road.

Is Calicut station the same as Kozhikode station?
Yes. The station code is CLT. The board says Kozhikode. Older tickets say Calicut.
Can you pick up at 2 a.m.?
Yes. Night trains are a normal booking. Send the train number the evening before if you can.
Will you come onto the platform?
Platform entry rules are the railway’s. Plan to meet at the exit you name. If someone needs help with a wheelchair to the porch, say that when you book so the driver is not surprised.
How much is the fare to the station?
It depends where you start. Ask with the pickup. We do not print one number for the whole district.
