Say NIT Calicut main gate, Chathamangalam, PIN 673601. The campus runs for a long stretch beside the Mukkam road. A hostel or a department name, if you have it, avoids a walk with luggage in the sun or the rain.
NIT also says KSRTC buses toward Mukkam start from the central bus station, and private buses toward Mukkam and Areekode start from Palayam. Those are real options in the daytime with light bags. A cab is the straightforward one with luggage, elders, or a late flight.
Airport mornings and late landings
Karipur is south-east of the city and NIT is north-east, so the ride crosses the city side and then goes out on the Mukkam road. NIT’s figure of about 45 km is the one to plan around. Leave the airline’s reporting time plus that drive. We agree the fare before you leave the terminal or the hostel.
