Kozhikode beach and city tour
The beach, Mananchira Square, SM Street and Kuttichira are inside the city. This is a half day on foot once you are there. It is not Kappad, which is the beach about 16 km north.

- From Kozhikode
- The stops themselves are a few kilometres apart in central Kozhikode. Government Medical College describes the campus as about 8 km east of the city centre. NIT’s note puts the railway station about 22 km away, and IIM’s contact page puts the station about 16 km away. Add that ride in from the gate.
- Time on the road
- Under an hour of driving between the city stops. Half a day once the group is out of the cab. The campus-to-city ride is the longer part from NIT or IIM.
- Best time to go
- Late afternoon into the evening for the beach. October to March is the calmer season on this coast. An ordinary rainy day still works for Mananchira and SM Street. Stay off the rocks if the sea is high.

Suggested route and stops
Pickup at the campus gate, then Kozhikode Beach. Mananchira and SM Street are close enough to walk if the group wants one drop instead of a hop. Kuttichira is the old quarter by the tank. Say whether the cab should move between them or wait at one point.
Beypore, the old port to the south, is a short extra ride, not the same stop as the city beach. Add it only if the afternoon is still free. Do not stack it with Kappad and a hill on the same day.

Questions people ask
Is this the same as Kappad?
No. Kozhikode Beach is in the city. Kappad is about 16 km north, the beach Kerala Tourism links with the 1498 landing.
Can you collect us from the medical college and drop us back?
Yes. The college is the near campus, about 8 km from the city centre on its own page. Say the gate and the time back. NIT and IIM are longer rides in.
Is there a city-tour fare on this page?
No. A loop with waiting is a different ask from a one-way drop at the beach. We say the fare before the cab leaves.
