Kappad is the quiet beach north of the city. Kerala Tourism places it about 16 km from Kozhikode town, and notes the pillar for Vasco da Gama’s landing in 1498. Say Kappad. “A beach” gets you Kozhikode Beach instead.

From NIT, IIM, CWRDM or the medical college, come into the city side and then north through Elathur to Kappad. Elathur bridge is a look on the way, not a second destination.
The group gets out at the beach. The cab waits if you ask it to. Do not add Wayanad or Thusharagiri on the same day. The coast and the ghat do not share an afternoon.

How far is Kappad from the medical college?
Kappad is about 16 km north of Kozhikode town. The college is about 8 km east of the city centre, so the ride is the city crossing plus that coastal leg. Ask us for the fare from your gate.
Is this a full day?
No. It is a half day unless you sit until sunset. Say the time you need the cab back at campus.
