Reaching IIM Kozhikode
IIM Kozhikode is at Kunnamangalam on the Wayanad road. What the institute’s own pages say about distance, and how to book the cab to the gate.

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode is on two hillocks at Kunnamangalam, not in the centre of Calicut. The postal address is IIMK Campus P.O., Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode 673570. The contact page describes it as on the Wayanad road, about 16 km from Calicut railway station and about 40 km from Calicut International Airport.
A second page on the institute site, written for a workshop, has said about 18 km from the railway station and about 32 km from the airport, and about 17 km from the city. Both pages are the institute’s. They do not match to the kilometre. For a cab, that means: a short ride from Palayam, a longer one from Karipur, and a fare you ask for instead of a number copied off a poster.
From Kozhikode railway station
Leave Palayam toward the east on NH 766, the road people still call the Wayanad road. Kunnamangalam town comes up before the campus gate. Say “IIM Kozhikode main gate”, not only the town. If your host named a guest house or a programme office inside, add it. Interview days fill the last stretch. Book the night before and leave a buffer you can sit in, not one you will spend arguing.
From Calicut Airport
Karipur is in Malappuram. The ride comes toward the city and then east. It is the same kind of cross-city trip as an early flight drop in the other direction. Send the flight number. If you are going on to Wayanad the same day, IIM is already on that road, before Thamarassery. Say that you want a stop, and the fare can include it. Adding it at the gate is how quotes die.
CWRDM is next door in name only
The Centre for Water Resources Development and Management is also at Kunnamangalam, PIN 673571. It is not the IIM gate. If your letter says CWRDM, use the CWRDM taxi page and say the research centre. The town page is for people who live there and simply need the city or the airport: cab near Kunnamangalam.

Is the campus in the city?
No. It is a hilltop campus at Kunnamangalam, PIN 673570, on NH 766. Older pages still call that road NH 212.
